Bianca Williams

Bianca is a Textile Designer based in Hove. She graduated from Loughborough University with a First Class degree in Woven Textiles after studying Art and Textiles throughout her GCSEs and A Levels and continuing on to art college.

For over 15 years, Bianca worked in the textile industry, collaborating with British, Italian, and Chinese mills to design both printed and woven fabrics for designer labels and well-known high street brands.

She now designs her own range of homewares and kitchenware.

Much of Bianca’s inspiration comes from photographing flora and fauna. Her designs begin as original hand-collaged artworks. She enjoys printing and painting her own papers to create unusual textures, which she then cuts, layers, and assembles into collages. These artworks are later refined and developed into repeating patterns using Photoshop.

Bianca works exclusively with carefully selected British manufacturers. All of her designs are printed, handmade, and packaged in the UK. Sustainability and ethical production are extremely important to her. She handcrafts her lampshades herself and uses the remaining offcuts to create smaller gifts, ensuring as little waste as possible.
