The Fiveways Fair

  • 360c Ditchling Road Brighton, England, BN1 6JG United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a very special community makers fair in Fiveways this November!

The Maker’s Fair is returning to Fiveways, where our story began, for a day celebrating independent makers, artists, small businesses and the wonderful local community.

Discover a carefully curated line-up of 38 talented makers and independent businesses, showcasing beautiful, original work and thoughtful gifts. Whether you’re looking for something special for Christmas or simply fancy a lovely day out supporting small businesses, there’ll be plenty to discover.

A fair with community at its heart

This event is about more than shopping. We’re delighted to be raising funds for two local causes:

St Richard’s Community Support Café:

The Community Support Cafe at St Richard’s has evolved from the former Hollingdean Foodbank into a weekly support community which takes a more holistic and dignified approach to supporting local people experiencing financial or other difficulties.

Rather than relying solely on food parcels, emergency food support can now include supermarket vouchers, giving people choice and dignity when buying their own food. The café also provides a welcoming place where people can access wider support, including benefits and money advice, housing advice and support from partner organisations such as Citizens Advice.

St Matthias Playcafé:

The second cause is the wonderful St Matthias Playcafé, right here in Fiveways.

The Playcafé is a not-for-profit community café for parents, carers and pre-school children. It provides a warm, welcoming space where families can meet, connect, have a coffee and let their children play, with volunteers helping to create that sense of belonging. It is a much-loved part of the local community.

Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to support these fantastic community initiatives, including voluntary donations and our afternoon Grand Prize Draw, featuring a brilliant collection of prizes generously donated by local makers and businesses.
